Diversity of doing

In the professional world, focus on specialism is understandably ubiquitous. While doubtless one driver of progress, it is perhaps not the only important factor.

Bias towards any aspect of life can, by definition, eclipse other facets of the human experience - namely our creative, playful, explorative nature. In the same way that infant beings develop through play, adults can also embrace a sense of the whimsical, for it is also through the spontaneous and the ephemeral that we take detours, forge paths and yield growth through new challenges.
